The environmental assessment and remediation of this Site is governed under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP). For project overview and current status of activities, please visit the Site Background and Site Status pages of this website. Under the MCP, a site may be designated as a Public Involvement Project (PIP) upon petition of residents. All official documents and correspondence pertaining to such a site are kept on record for public review. The East Deerfield Railyard was designated a PIP site in 2000 and associated documents may be viewed at the Public Repositories by Contacting Tim Mosher of Pan Am Railways, at (413) 774-6176, or through the Documents section of this website.

June 12, 2014
Pan Am will hold a public meeting on June 18, 2014 at 6:00 pm to present a public comment draft Phase IV Remedy Implementation Plan (Phase IV RIP) report for the East Deerfield Rail Yard. The meeting will be held in the main meeting area of the Deerfield Town Hall. The soil and groundwater impacts addressed in this report are tracked by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) under Release Tracking Number (RTN) 1-17606.
